WASHINGTON, MAINE
DECEMBER WITH HARRINGTONS

Kris has a niece who married a young man who lives in Washington, Maine with his family. And, so, we decided to take a day and visit them. It was only a four hour drive and it took us through some pretty New England country side. The storm that had dusted Southern Massachusetts earlier in the week had left about six inches of snow in Maine and we got a taste of winter driving. It reminded Dennis of so many not-so-fond memories of driving adventures in and around Flagstaff in years gone by. The visit was a good one and we all enjoyed ourselves and went out to dinner on the coast where Dennis got lessons in the proper way of eating a whole lobster (barbaric). It was a good day.

Note the cute lobster bib.

The route signs on I-295 in Maine seem to have dual personalities. How often to you get to see schizoid signs? It's a real good symbol of signage in New England.
