MARTHA'S VINEYARD, MA
NOVEMBER WITH CALDWELLS

Another adventure! We invited Melissa and her daughter, Anna to spend the weekend with us at the hotel. We had the "Presidential Suite" that week so we had lots of room. On Saturday we drove to East Falmouth (no, not Foulmouth) and took the ferry to the island of Martha's Vineyard where we rented a car and toured. We did a nature hike, saw the seashore, had a great lunch, did some shopping, and drove home tired. It was another  wonderful day. Martha's Vineyard is a large island and there are several very small towns situated on it. The island was so named because the first settlers there found huge vineyards although there are few remaining today. Today the place is quite seasonal and things were closing as we visited and the shops which all had huge sales just to reduce inventories for the winter.

These are two boats which were moored at Martha's Vineyard.

This man fed gulls this way almost all the way on the ferry trip.
