The Brin's Fire - June, 2006

A transient, camping near Sedona, Let a campfire get away and within days more than 3500 acres of forest were burned, hundreds of homes were evacuated, and 700 fire fighters performed the heroic work of saving every structure in Oak Creek Canyon. The fire was close enough that we were able to watch its progress from our back yard and these pictures were taken from there.
