Kris had planted two very small cacti in the front yard several years ago. On this evening they were ready to bloom and we had the good fortune to be there to watch the "coming out party" The photos below are arranged in order over a period of two hours as these two cacti opened. The Datura is here because it is so unusual and so lovely.

Oh, the roach was simply walking around and posed for the camera.
